Waterpower XVI
07/2009
Date: July 27-30, 2009
Venue: Spokane Convention Center, Spokane, Washington
Introduction:
Waterpower XVI strives to advance hydropower by creating a forum for sharing new ideas, technology, approaches, and solutions, and continuing to build hydropower as the world''s leading source of renewable energy.
Waterpower has a longstanding tradition of technical excellence. The program features a variety of session formats, created in cooperation with leading hydro professionals who make up the Steering and Advisory committees.
A Call for Abstracts issued earlier this year invited hydropower experts across the world to share their latest ideas and accomplishments. A panel of technical experts reviewed these abstracts and selected the authors to develop and present their Technical Papers at the conference.
In addition to the technical program, the conference features Symposia and interactive Roundtables. Held in conjunction with the conference and exhibition, the Hydro Training Institute offers highly practical training designed to help new hires - or persons new to hydro - be more productive more quickly. The Conference also includes two "plenary" sessions - the Opening and Closing sessions - as well as the chance to mingle with colleagues at the Thursday evening "Great Art. Excellent Company." conference party.
